    SEM is a leading producer of electronic ignition systems and control systems for car engines, natural gas engines and small engines.

  • The XPI fuel injection system

    The Scania-Cummins XPI system reduces emissions in diesel engines. A key component in the XPI system is the stator developed by SEM.

  • Solenoids

    The combination of Swedish engineering and Chinese production makes SEM solenoids an attractive alternative in numerous application areas.

  • Heat exchangers

    Laminova’s heat exchangers and oil coolers deliver unique performance for the most demanding conditions.

  • R&D in Sweden, production in China

    SEM combines Swedish engineering and R&D with cost effective production in China, where SEM has a wholly owned production plant.

Eco-friendly solutions and alternative fuels

The Engine Efficiency business area reflects the strategic focus on products and systems for effective energy usage and eco-friendly technology. Engine Efficiency focuses on components that initiate, generate and convert power.

The products and systems in this business area are primarily used in the automotive industry. In addition to traditional fuels, development will focus on alternative fuels such as ethanol, biogas, natural gas and hydrogen.
Growth will be organic, complemented by acquisitions. The business area is headed by Tom Gustavsson.

The business area comprises the following subsidiaries:

SEM - Electronic ignition systems and control systems for car engines, natural gas engines and small engines

OTS (Opcon Technology Suzhou) - Prroduction of ignition systems and solenoids
