The Renergi LTD Dryer is based on the counter-flow principle. Material is fed from the top of the dryer and removed at the bottom, while the air intake is at the bottom, meaning that the air is passed against the material flow, thus achieving a high degree of efficiency in the drying process.
There are many application areas. One example is drying of wood chips for pellet manufacturing, where this is a particularly suitable technology. The Renergi LTD Dryer is installed together with a conventional drum dryer. The energy-rich gas from the drum dryer is fed to the condenser, which reclaims heat that is transferred via an air battery to the fresh air, which reaches a temperature of about 70° C. The now dry and heated air is used in the Renergi LTD Dryer. After having been cooled in the condenser, the gas passes through the electrostatic precipitator in which not only dust, but also carbon compounds, blue haze and several other chemical compounds are radically reduced.
The Renergi System generates significant profits. Either a fuel reduction on the order of 40-50% can be achieved, or productivity can be doubled, if extra capacity is needed.
